Regulatory & Compliance Statement
This page clarifies what ApexTrade is, what it isn't, and our regulatory positioning.
What ApexTrade IS
ApexTrade is a software tools platform operated by ApexTrade LLC. We provide:
- Analytics & charting tools β market analysis and pattern detection across stocks, crypto, and forex
- User-configured automation workflows β define rules that operate through your own connected brokerage account
- Strategy Sync β apply prebuilt analytical strategy templates to your own connected account
- Portfolio tracking & analytics β monitor account activity synced from your own connected brokerages
- Trading education content β learning resources for self-directed traders
β Key Point:
ApexTrade is a tools provider, not a fund manager, investment advisor, or financial services firm. Users connect their own accounts and maintain full ownership and control of their funds.
What ApexTrade IS NOT
ApexTrade does not provide financial advice, portfolio recommendations, or investment management services. Users make their own trading decisions.
We never hold, manage, or have custody of user funds. Deposits go directly to the user's chosen brokerage account, not to ApexTrade.
We do not execute trades directly. All orders are executed through user-connected brokerages (Alpaca, Binance, Kraken, OANDA, etc.).
ApexTrade is not a bank or money transmitter. We do not move user funds, hold deposits, or facilitate payments.
Trading results depend entirely on market conditions and user decisions. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
Risk Disclosure
Trading and investing carry substantial risk of loss. ApexTrade users should understand:
- You can lose some or all of your invested capital
- Past performance does not guarantee future results
- Simulated results (shown on the platform) are not actual results and do not guarantee future performance
- Leverage amplifies both gains and losses
- Market volatility, execution delays, and slippage can impact results
- Strategy Sync applies predefined analytical templates β past signal accuracy does not guarantee future outcomes
- Automation workflows follow user-defined rules; they cannot predict market changes or adapt to unforeseen circumstances
How Your Funds Work
You choose and manage your brokerage account directly (Alpaca, Binance, Kraken, OANDA, etc.). Your deposits go to your broker, not ApexTrade.
You authorize your configured automation workflows to interact with your brokerage using your own API keys. ApexTrade provides the software interface β you retain full control. Disconnect anytime from Settings.
You can always check your account directly at your broker. Withdraw funds anytime. ApexTrade has zero access to withdraw or move your money.
Your broker is regulated and insured. ApexTrade is not. Your funds are protected by your broker's insurance, not by ApexTrade.
Strategy Template Quality Standards
ApexTrade maintains quality standards for the analytical strategy templates available on the platform. These templates are validated according to the following criteria:
All strategy templates are validated against historical data before being made available. Backtested results are clearly labeled as simulated.
Templates with simulated drawdowns exceeding defined thresholds are flagged for review before listing.
Templates must demonstrate a minimum signal accuracy threshold across sufficient historical scenarios.
Listed templates are reviewed periodically. Templates with degraded performance metrics are updated or removed.
All performance figures are clearly labeled as simulated or backtested. No live performance claims are made for templates.
Important: Backtested results do not guarantee future performance. Strategy templates are analytical tools only β not financial advice. Monitor your active configurations regularly and adjust as market conditions change.
